With every passing year, more and more people seem to come flocking towards the seemingly eternal grazing field that is Bollywood to try and carve out their share in the pie of stardom. 2020 is going to be no exception to this. A number of movies slated for a 2020 release are supposed to be starring plenty of debutants, star kids and Bollywood outsiders alike. So here we are, taking a look at all newcomers that will make their debuts in 2020.
Jitendra Kumar is quite popular even before making his debut. He regularly appears in The Viral Fever’s sketches and has a huge fan following. He makes his Bollywood debut in Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. He plays the role of Ayushmann’s lover and the film is set around the lines of how a conservative set of parents come to terms with their son being gay.
Ahan Shetty, the son of Suneil Shetty, is making his debut in Tadap opposite Tara Sutaria. The film is currently in the shooting phase. It is a remake of the Telugu film RX 100 (2018). Ahan will, reportedly, be playing the role of a theatre owner in the film. The film is an action-packed romantic saga. Sajid Nadiadwala is serving as the producer, who also launched Ahan’s sister, Athiya.
Katrina Kaif’s younger sister, Isabelle Kaif, is set to make her debut opposite Salman Khan’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma in the movie Kwatha. The film is reportedly a drama set against an army backdrop and is based on true events.
Manushi’s fans have been eagerly waiting for her Bollywood debut ever since she was crowned Miss Universe in 2017. Looks like the wait is over as she is set to make her debut opposite none other than Akshay Kumar in the period drama Prithviraj. She plays the role of Sanyogita. The YRF film is slated for a Diwali release.
Pooja Bedi’s daughter Alaya makes her debut as Saif Ali Khan’s daughter in the film Jawaani Jaaneman. Alaya caught Saif’s eye when he was looking for someone to fill the shoes of her on-screen daughter. The film is a slice-of-life story about a father, who refuses to grow up, and his daughter. As per reports, the producers of the film were so impressed by Alaya that even before the release of her debut movie, they signed her for a three-film deal.
Laksh is set to make his debut opposite Kartik Aaryan and Jahnvi Kapoor in Karan Johar’s Dostana 2. The film is a sequel of the hit film Dostana (2008). Laksh has previously starred in Sony TV’s show Porus.
Sharvari Wagh, an outsider, is set to make her debut opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi in Bunty Aur Babli 2. The film will be helmed by director Varun V. Sharma of YRF. Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee will star in pivotal roles in the movie.
