Why these Bollywood debutants of 2018 are the next big thing to look forward to

2018 was a refreshing year for Bollywood with an outpouring of new faces (and talent). We welcomed famous star kids Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan. We applauded south-cinema-import Dulquer Salmaan. And we appreciated television celebrities Radhika Madan and Mouni Roy!
Every aspiring actor enters B-town hoping to start with a bang. However, only some have left a mark in their debut movies, which released in 2018. Let’s check out who they are.

1. Janhvi Kapoor

Janhvi Kapoor, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter, made her debut in the movie Dhadak. A remake of the superhit Marathi movie Sairat, Dhadak received mixed reviews from the audience. However, Janhvi was applauded for her acting prowess

2. Sara Ali Khan

Another most-awaited star kid was Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan. Sara was splendid in her promising onscreen presence in Kedarnath starring opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. We are all looking forward to watch her with Ranveer Singh in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba

3. Dulquer Salmaan

Malayalam film star Dulquer Salmaan made his remarkable Bollywood debut in Karwaan. His brooding performance won over audiences and critics alike. As a man coming to terms with his father’s death, Dulquer was the perfect foil to Irrfan Khan’s performance

4. Banita Sandhu

Banita Sandhu brought a whiff of freshness with her debut in the movie October. Though she had little to do as a comatose girl, she captivated the audience with her eyes. And, that is what bagged her all the attention!

5. Radhika Madan

Radhika Madan, who bagged the Star Screen Award for the Most Promising Newcomer, has won our hearts. Though her debut movie Pataakha didn’t do well, her acting was loved by all. Radhika shot to fame as Ishaani in the popular sitcom Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi

6. Mouni Roy & Sunny Kaushal

Another popular TV actress who hit it right at the start was Mouni Roy. She nailed it with her Bengali accent in Gold, which worked wonders for her role as Akshay Kumar’s wife. The movie introduced another promising talent with Sunny Kaushal, director Sham Kaushal’s son and actor Vicky Kaushal’s brother. Portrayed as a fierce Punjabi guy, the audience saw a lot of promise in Sunny’s acting prowess
