Who would play John Snow and other Game of Thrones characters if it were to be made in Bollywood?

Winter is about to take this summer by storm and we couldn’t be more excited. The final season of Game of Thrones is airing on 14th April and we can’t wait to find out who ultimately sits on the Iron Throne. Over the last seven seasons we have grown to love the characters and the actors!

But what if Game of Thrones (GOT) was to be made in Bollywood? Who would play these much-loved and much-hated characters? We scoured the internet to get a sense of who GOT fans we would want to see in an Indian adaptation of the series.

Who would play Cersei Lannister, the cunning and scheming Queen of Westeros? Lena Headey’s portrayal of the power-hungry queen who fiercely protects her loved ones has won her critical acclaim. Who in Bollywood could match those impeccable acting skills? Fans think Aishwarya Rai and we couldn’t agree more! Her sharp and cold looks can send a chill down your spine. No wonder then that Aishwarya Rai is definitely our choice to play Cersei.

Like Cersei, another character that has varied shades is Sansa. She has evolved from a naïve and spoiled princess to a strong leader who tactfully wins back her kingdom. Sophie Turner has immaculately portrayed this transition. And who other than Shraddha Kapoor to step into her shoes? Shraddha has time and again proved her diverse acting prowess. Whether it’s her depiction of Haseena Parker, Mumbai’s mafia queen, or the quintessential girl-next-door in Luv Ka The End, there’s not much Shraddha can’t do.

The only Bollywood actor that can do justice to Arya’s character is Alia Bhatt. Like all the Starks, Arya’s character has been through a journey of her own. From an agile sword fighter to the Faceless Assassin, her ordeal has made her stoic and ruthless. Alia Bhatt’s seamlessly portrayed Sehmat Khan, a college student who trains to become a RAW agent in Raazi. This makes her the best match to play Arya Stark!

Jaime Lannister, played by Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau was one of the most hated characters of the show. However, fans have started adoring him, especially after the prediction that he will stand up against his scheming twin sister/lover Cersei. If there’s one Bollywood actor to match his dashing looks, it would be Arjun Rampal.

The King in the North has always been a mass favourite. Jon Snow has won many hearts with his boyish charms and brooding nature. If there’s one Bollywood actor who can match this, it is Shahid Kapoor. His boyish looks have been the talk of the town ever since he set foot in Bollywood. And let’s not forget his brooding character in first half of Jab We Met!
