The famous Indian film director and producer, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is one of the most successful filmmakers of Indian cinema. Making his debut in the year 1996 with the film Khamoshi: The Musical, today he is one of the best and most versatile directors in the industry. 1. Padmaavat

In the song ’Ghoomar’, Deepika Padukone donned a lehenga which costs 2 million approximately and weighs 30 kg. We still wonder how she managed to carry the attire with so much ease during the entire shoot!

2. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

Sameer- Hawa ka jhokha aka Salman Khan is seen to have a strange habit of talking to his deceased father, looking at the sky. Even our beloved director, Bhansali had this habit when he was a kid as he lost his father at a young age. The connection between a son and a father was brought out very well in the film.

3. Devdas

Chandramukhi’s ghagra-choli for the song ‘Kaahe Chhed Mohe’ weighed about 30 kilos due to which, despite her best efforts, Madhuri Dixit couldn’t perform the classical dance wearing it. Later, the outfit was replaced with a new one that weighed 16 kilos.

4. Black

Both Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor, the lead pair of Saawariya assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the sets of the film Black. Ranbir also trained Ayesha Kapoor during that course. And at times when Amitji couldn’t make it on the sets, it was Ranbir Kapoor who stood in the front credits of the film.

During the filming of the famous song ‘Nagada Sangh Dhol’, Deepika Padukone wore a medical brace around her shoulder and back under her outfit to quell searing pain in her body.

8. Bajirao Mastani

Bajirao Mastani was Bhansali’s first historical film ever. Though Devdas is believed to be one, the characters in the film were all fictitious. Also, even though the script was almost ready, the director took over a decade to finalize the cast for the film, jumping from Salman Khan to Ajay Devgn and landing on to Ranveer Singh finally.
