1. Trapped

An audacious and gut-wrenching film, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, that not only defined all the odds in the Indian film Industry but gave us an opportunity to watch a thrilling performance by Rao. The film revolves around a guy who gets trapped inside his apartment and soon his world comes crashing down. Rajkummar’s acting will show you what isolation feels like with a visual treat of his commendable acting!

2. Shahid

A masterpiece to say the least, as Shahid also got Rajkummar a National Award for his astonishing performance in the film. This film is a true story and is based on the life of Shahid Azmi. The movie reflects the harsh reality of society and creates an impact of a lifetime. Rao has received several accolades for this piece of art and an incredible representation of Shahid Azmi.

3. CityLights

Directed by critically acclaimed director Hansal Mehta yet again, this dynamic duo of Hansal-Rao has proven to be a force to reckon with. CityLights is an engaging story of Deepak and Raakhi, who lives in Rajasthan and later on move to Mumbai for a better future. However, things quickly go south ways when they come face-to-face with the reality in the city. Rao has an impeccable presence and will make you sit on the edge for more.

4. Omerta

Omerta and its story is not an easy movie to pull off. Rao’s incredible and gripping acting will make you sit on the edge of your seats at all times. The movie is based upon the terrifying story of a British terrorist, Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, who was responsible for kidnappings of Westerners in India in 1994. You definitely don’t want to miss this one!

The best is saved for the last on our list! Selected as an official entry from India for the Oscars, Newton’s narrative is played along with a culmination of breath-taking acting, amazing background score, fine dialogues, and a steady pace. And as Rajkumar blurs the line between reel and real, watch him portray Newton as a guy trying his utter best to fight a corrupt system.
