Anil Kapoor’s debut movie was Tu Payal Aur Main Geet in which he played the role of young Shashi Kapoor at the age of 14. However, the film was not released. The first film of Anil Kapoor in Hollywood was Slumdog Millionaire in 2008 and later he appeared in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol in 2011. He also appeared as a series regular in the American action drama TV series 24 and as the main character in its Hindi adaptation.

A piece of astounding news about Anil Kapoor is that he is a trained semi-classical singer. He was the voice behind the title track of Bollywood comedy Chameli Ki Shaadi released in 1986. He also sang the song "Tere Bina Main Nahin Mere Bina Tu Nahin" for the film Woh 7 Din and "I Love You" from Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai. He was also the co-singer to Salma Agha for the album Welcome scored by Bappi Lahiri in 1986. Anil Kapoor was not the first choice to portray the iconic character of Mr. India. According to the sources, it is believed that the role was written for the legendary Amitabh Bachchan due to his popular voice and a strong personality but he turned the script down. Superstar Rajesh Khanna too couldn’t relate to the concept of an invisible superhero and turned it down. Finally, Anil Kapoor signed the film and made Mr India an iconic character in the history of Bollywood.
The Secret Behind His Fit Physique
It is well-known about Anil Kapoor that he is a fitness enthusiast. He wakes up early in the morning at 6 am and eats a banana to gain carbs, potassium and iron. During the lockdown, when stepping out of the house was prohibited, the actor chose to continue his fitness regime at home and took up weightlifting.

Anil Kapoor donated all the money he earned from the Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire to the children's charitable organization Plan India, which he supports since 2006.
