If you are a fan of temporal displacement a.k.a time travel, then you need to watch these shows that are based on the most fascinating subject of all scientists. So make sure you plug-in your temporal displacement gadgets and punch in those time and date coordinates to take you to the right time and place.
 

1. The Flash

The Flash is a part of CW’s DC Universe and is based on Barry Allen, a superhero who can run at superfast speeds due to an experiment gone wrong. Due to his supernatural speeds, sometimes he can move through time. Since he has no control over his ability to move through time, it ends up wreaking havoc in his and his crew’s lives. While this is not a tv show on time travel, time travel is what keeps on pushing the show forward.

2. Lost

One of the greatest shows of all time, leaving fans in a sad frenzy as it came to an end, Lost is a time travel TV show. The show follows the survival of survivors of a plane crash on a remote island. With such a great plot on their hands, even the makers of this show would be looking for a way to travel back in time and re-do the final season of the show.

3. Outlander

Outlander fuses the concepts of magic with the science of time travel and the result is nothing short of brilliance. With the plot that revolves around a WWII era Scottish nurse who gets transported back in time to 1783, meets and falls in love with a guy. She must now find a way to get back home. This is easily one of the best time travel TV shows of all time.

4. Star Trek: The Next Generation

Star Trek: The Next Generation is one of those shows that not only manages to make the viewer’s experience of time travel enchanting, but also manages to weave its entire plot around it with utmost fluidity. It is a must-watch for a Trekkie and also for anyone who is looking to experience the sheer satisfaction of watching a tightly woven show.

5. Timeless

A ragtag team consisting of a professor, her bodyguard, and an engineer travel back in time to stop a man who has stolen a time machine from changing the course of American history. Though it’s not one of the longest running shows out there, it does provide for a great binge lasting 2-3 days.

6. 12 Monkeys

Taking a lot of cues from its movie counterpart, 12 Monkeys does manage to carve out a niche for itself. The show is about an agent sent back to the past from the future to prevent the The Army of the 12 Monkeys from releasing a deadly virus that would go on to annihilate humanity. This is a time travel TV series that you just can’t afford to miss.

7. Travelers

Travelers is the story of an organization that can send back its agents in time to the bodies of the recently deceased to avert disasters. This could lead to a lot of “out there” situations when the agents awaken in their new bodies in the past. This time travel based TV series is bound to keep you hooked till the very end.

8. Future Man

Josh Futturman, a janitor, is called upon to save humanity from extraterrestrial visitors when he manages to beat a game that no one else can beat . It is a great show to watch if humour and time travel are up your alley.

9. Dark

Dark is based on events that follow after children start disappearing in a small German town of Winden. The time travel element is a bit of a surprise which can’t be revealed without giving away a spoiler and so, we’ll just let you binge and discover it for yourself.

10. 11.22.63

Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, 11.22.63 tells the of story of a man who travels back in time to prevent the assassination of JFK, but there is a catch; he can only travel back to the year 1960. Arriving three years before his mission presents him with its own set of problems. It is an eight episode mini series, which makes it the perfect time travel TV series to binge watch.
