Nowadays more often than not, we come across movies that attempt to expand their franchise in any way possible. Milking the drama further, leaving us with nothing but substandard entries solely based on winning the audience on the strength of their predecessors. These movies could be termed ‘Franchise Kickstarters’. Some of them fail while others manage to garner enough interest and subsequently, enough cash to become eligible for another sequel.
