Sunil Pal was the winner from the first season. What made him a popular contestant was his remarkable ability of impersonating film actors like Sunil Shetty, Nana Patekar, Sunny Deol, Naseeruddin Shah and Irrfan Khan amongst many others. His self-created character, ‘Ratan Noora’ was also notable enough to not only win the competition but also set off his career. Although he was a runner up in the first season of the Great Indian Laughter Challenge show, he has become one of the top comedians in India. His notable jokes focus on political satire and social issues. He has starred in several successful movies such as Bombay to Goa, Ek Paheli Leela, and Hanuman Bhakt Hawaldar. He also starred in the comedy show, Hum Aapke Ghar Mein Rehte Hain, and as a contestant in Bigg Boss 2.
Bharti Singh was the second runner up in season 4. Her notable standup comedy child character, ‘Lalli’ pushed her in the spotlight and made her a big star. Apart from this, she has also participated in other shows such as Comedy Circus 3 Ka Tadka and Comedy Circus Mahasangram. She has also hosted Comedy Nights Bachao, alongside Krushna Abhishek. Some of her notable presence in the entertainment industry include Pyaar Mein Twist, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Sau Saal Cinema Ke, and MasterChef India amongst many others.
Kapil Sharma rose to fame after he won season 3. After this, he participated in Comedy Circus going on to win six seasons of the show. He also hosted the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Chhote Miyan. He also started his own show, Comedy Nights with Kapil, under his own production studio.
