Take a trip to space with these space movies.

Space is often referred to as the final frontier and rightfully so, it is the only front where progress is stalled for a few decades after humans managed to land on the moon. But if the last decade has been any proof, the future of space exploration looks just as promising as the stories of these movies we’re about to drop on you. Even under the coveted umbrella of sci-fi movies, space movies have a special place in every sci-fi fan's heart. The sheer amount of imagination that goes into putting together a story about a place no one has ever had the pleasure of visiting, is simply commendable.

What do you do when you are told you have six months to save the Earth from an approaching asteroid that threatens to cause an extinction event similar to the one that killed the dinosaurs? The premise of the movie seems pretty straight forward, right? But it redeemed itself in the brilliant action it offers and its cast which includes the likes of Ben Affleck, Bruce Willis, Steve Buscemi, Liv Tyler, and Billy Bob Thornton.
