Stress is an integral part of our lives and the current situation has left us no other option but to stay indoors all the time which has made our homes our offices. In times like these, the mind and body can get quite stressful. Well, for us, watching movies is a great stress buster and works like a charm. That’s why on this Stress Awareness Day, we bring to you a list of feel-good  Hindi movies that will help your entire family relax and unwind. 
 

1. Munna Bhai M.B.B.S (2003)

Sometimes logic needs to take a back seat to tell a heartwarming story. For some movies this could be written off as a flaw in the script but not for Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, this movie works best due to this and has even managed to amass a cult following. This Sanjay Dutt starrer tells the story of Munna Bhai, a goon, who, in order to honor the wishes of his father decides to become a doctor but the only problem is he hasn’t had any education in years.

2. 3 Idiots (2008)

Another Rajkumar Hirani movie, 3 Idiots is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel Five Point Someone. It tells the story of three friends in an engineering college. It also addresses the issues students face during their college life and how Indian parents force their educational choices over their children.

3. Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006)

This is the sequel to the hit film Munna Bhai M.B.B.S which sees Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi reprising their roles. The film follows the adventures of Munna bhai as he starts seeing the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi and starts following his teaching of nonviolence.

4. Dil Chahta Hai (2001)

The film that has inspired countless Goa trips in the past 20 or so years, Dil Chahta Hai is the original Bollywood movie that tested the modern-day bonds between friends through different scenarios including a trip. This movie too has a cult following.

5. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008)

A Shah Rukh Khan starrer that introduced us to the wonderful Anushka Sharma, RNBDJ is a beautiful movie that follows the lives of a newly married middle class couple. The husband, in order to win the heart of his wife decides to don a new avatar that is the complete opposite of his actual self. Which avatar of SRK will win the heart of his wife?

6. The Lunchbox (2013)

The Lunchbox is one of the most unique and thoughtfully penned movies of the recent years. It's a love story that is kicked off by pure coincidence. The movie stars Irrfan Khan and Nimrat Kaur. Irrfan’s character receives a lunchbox that is meant for Nimrat’s character’s husband and this leads to exchanges of a number of letters which results in a friendship between the two.

7. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011)

ZNMD, another film based on a trip involving childhood friends, chronicles the lives of three friends who decide to take a bachelors only trip after one of the friends gets engaged. Along with various adventures, they are also able to mend some bonds that were severed through the years.

8. Andaz Apna Apna (1994)

A cult classic, Andaz Apna Apna is considered one of the best comedy movies of all time. It stars two Bollywood legends - Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. The two compete to win the affections of a rich girl when they inadvertently get involved in a criminal plot against the girl and decide to save her from falling for it.

9. Hum Aapke Hai Koun..! (1994)

HAHK would be written off as just family drama if it were released today. But here’s the thing, it was released back in 1994 and back then, soaps hadn’t taken over our televisions and it was something new based on an age old formula. People loved it and it is considered a classic now. The plot revolves around two families and how their children fall in love.

10. Hum Tum (2004)

Hum Tum is a rom-com that follows the lives of Karan and Rhea. The two initially meet on a flight and end up hating each other and then later on, as fate would have it, keep bumping into each other at different stages of their lives which eventually leads them to fall in love.
