Monsoon hits: What you should be watching on a rainy day

In our opinion, the monsoon is the best time to chill. The weather is so soothing that all we like to do is get cosy and binge watch stuff. Luckily, Bollywood has got our back. Here are our top picks of movies to best enjoy at home when it’s pouring cats and dogs outside.

1. Hera Pheri

If the weather makes you smile, then the answer to it has to be a film that will make you laugh. Hera Pheri is a classic laugh riot. Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty have perfect comic timing that will keep you in splits throughout.

2. Ittefaq

While we talk about Ittefaq, how can we not talk about a twist, right? So here is one. You are thinking of the Rajesh Khanna and Nanda classic, right? But the Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha starrer is what we recommend. And this twist is not even close to what the movie offers in its plot. A thunderstorm will be a perfect match for the film’s background sound effects.

3. Aankhen

Three individuals rob a bank with absolute precision. They then frame the person who was blackmailing them to rob the bank for the crime they committed. Sounds boring, right? How about we tell you, the three individuals are blind. Interesting, isn’t it? Aankhen is the perfect mix of comedy and suspense.

4. Delhi Belly

An Aamir Khan Production can never go wrong, can it? A cast with fresh faces, clubbed with wonderful writing makes this a film a fun experience. Ring up a few friends, order pizzas and sit back and enjoy the film.

5. Kaminey

Kaminey is easily one of Shahid Kapoor’s finest performances. But that isn’t the only reason this movie stands out. Its brilliant supporting cast, cinematography and music make it a great package. The film’s palette and the lighting in the scenes will complement the dark clouds outside your window.
