Have you ever wondered, what is the most important asset you own? It’s neither your most expensive car nor your most expensive designer bag. It’s your health. Yes! You heard me right- it is our own body, mind and soul.

We often fail to invest time on ourselves, from our busy schedule in activities such as exercise or yoga that helps us in mending both our body and soul. No one is to blame for this because our lifestyle is such that we can’t afford to give some fixed time for such activities. A day is just 24 hours long and we have so much to do all day.

I came up with this blog to remind you to get back to the basics, that we start living healthier and don’t need to give any extra time or money for that matter by going to the gym!

1. Walk it off

Walking is the simplest and most efficient way of keeping yourself fit. So, isn’t it better to have a short walk rather than taking your car or bike wherever you go traveling, especially if you just want to pick up some bread from your nearby grocery store? Instead, you can walk or take a bicycle ride for such short distance travel. Walking is always considered as one of the best exercises, that person of any age group can do. This habit will also contribute to the sustainable use of energy.

2. Climb it away

Choose to take stairs and define your muscles instead of using a lift- well, unless it’s necessary! Walking up the stairs is one of the best forms of exercise as it helps in burning calories without the intention of burning calories.

3. Hydrate. Hydrate. Hydrate

Just like your skin, your body also needs some moisturization and hydration to keep it going. On average one is advised to drink at least 2 liters of water every day. This is one of the healthiest habits to start and end your day with. It is good to keep a track on the amount of water we drink every day as well!

4. Skipping Breakfast? Skipping nutrition

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Never skip your breakfast and make sure that you have a fuller breakfast which is filled with all kind of nutrition that is required for our body. Switch to healthier breakfast options that are easily available in the market nowadays. Include fruits and nuts in your breakfast as it’s full of nutrition and is also tasty at the same time.

5. Don't Binge

While binging on your favourite TV show is acceptable, binging on junk is a big no-no. Although, It’s the most common thing we hear from every other fitness expert it is important to know that junk food on a regular is toxic for health. We tend to consume it as it’s easily available and satisfy our taste buds. But it does lead to severe health issues in the long run.
