Four smashing Bollywood movies lined up in September

It’s an exciting time for movie lovers who have been treated to a wide range of films this year. The first quarter of 2018 saw Padmaavat, Pad Man and Sonu Ke Tittu Ki Sweety winning everyone’s hearts. Later, movies like Raazi, Sanju and Gold tasted huge success, thanks to their rich content. The creative and marketing geniuses of Hindi cinema are certainly on a joy ride. But there’s a lot more in store to come. Here’s a look at some movies releasing in September which are riding on high expectations.

1. Batti Gul Meter Chalu

This movie revolves around the issue of electricity theft in rural India. The lead actors, Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam, look quite convincing in their roles. The film’s music album has a good mix of romantic and peppy songs. ‘Gold tamba’ has already got us tapping our feet! After the appreciation received for Stree, Shraddha is hoping to deliver a consecutive hit with this movie. Shahid was last seen in the blockbuster Padmaavat, and we can’t wait to watch his charm on the big screen.

2. Manmarziyaan

There is already a lot of buzz around Manmarziyaan, which will see Abhishek Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu share screen space. This rom-com drama is set in Punjab and everyone is excited to see Abhishek as a turbaned Sardar. Both Vicky and Taapsee have recently delivered many hit movies and proved their mettle in the industry. It will be interesting to watch this trio entertain the audience, especially Abhishek as he ends his two-year hiatus.

3. Paltan

The trailer of Paltan reminds us of the 1997 superhit Border and takes us on a nostalgia trip. This war movie has been directed and produced by J.P. Dutta and guarantees a dose of patriotism all through. Viewers will surely find out more about the Indo-China clashes along the Sikkim border in the 1960s. Many actors are playing prominent roles – Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Choudhary, Esha Gupta and Sonal Chauhan, to name a few.

4. Sui Dhaaga

Sui Dhaaga: Made in India has undoubtedly been made keeping Indian sentiments in mind. It seems to have finely woven the struggles, dreams and success of the protagonists, Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma, who play a tailor and an embroiderer, respectively. Both the actors look very convincing in their de-glam roles. We are sure that Sui Dhaaga will strike a chord with viewers and leave a lasting impression. The trailer looks promising, and it’ll be exciting to watch these two fine actors come together for the first time and create their magic on the silver screen.
