Staying and working at home everyday has all of us pinned to our couches for the most part of the day. Craving for food every couple of hours has become a daily habit at this point. So wasting a lot of time preparing food is something not many of us are willing to do, that’s why we bring to you easy and quick recipes that you can prepare with the least effort.
 

1. Chilli Cheese Toast

The ultimate comfort food, chilli cheese toast, the one which you can never get enough of is also one of the easiest recipes out there. Although try not to consume too much of it if you wanna stay fit.

Ingredients

6 bread slices
1 cup cheese (grated)
1 Tsp salt
Chilli powder (as required)
1 Tbsp coriander leaves
Green chillies (chopped)
1 Tsp baking powder
Milk (as required)
Oil 

How to prepare?

Mix the cheese, salt, chilli powder, coriander leaves, green chillies, baking powder, and milk (as per your requirement) to form a thick batter. It should be well blended and light.
Keep aside for half an hour.
Cut the edges off of the bread slices, then cut them into two halves diagonally.
Lay the cheese mixture over the slices.
Take a pan and heat oil for deep frying the bread.
Take a little bit of batter and put it in the pan, if it comes up and starts to float at once, the oil is hot enough.
Now put your bread into the oil very carefully and fry until it turns brown on both sides.
Serve hot.

2. Potato Chips

The most wanted snack of all time, potato chips is also one of the most simple recipes that can be prepared with the least efforts.

Ingredients

2 potatoes
1 cup water
2 Tsp salt
2 Tsp chilli flakes
Oil

How to prepare?

Cut the potatoes in thin slices
Soak the thinly sliced potatoes in a bowl of water.
Once they become tender, take them out and spread them on a plate.
Try not to lay the slices over each other or else they could stick together.
Apply oil on both sides of the slices and also sprinkle the salt and chilli flakes over them as per your taste.
Now microwave them for 2 minutes.
Take them out, the crispy potato chips are ready to be served.

3. Mac & Cheese

One of the most favorite recipes of kids of all ages and those who are still kids at heart, Mac & Cheese can go from being an object of a person’s desire to being in their mouth within 5 minutes. Could there be an easier dinner recipe than this?

Ingredients:

⅓ cup macaroni
¾ cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
2 Tbsp milk
¼ cup water

How to prepare?

Take the macaroni in a bowl and add water to it.
Microwave the bowl for 2 minutes
Now, add milk and shredded cheddar cheese to the macaroni and give it a stir.
Now microwave the bowl for another minute.
Your mac & cheese is ready to be devoured.

4. Banana Muffins

Banana muffins are a healthy snacking option. They are also quite easy to prepare and can be cooked within 30 minutes, so why not give it a try?

Ingredients:

1 ½ cup all purpose flour
1 Tsp baking soda
1 cup powdered sugar
½ Tsp salt
3 bananas (ripe)
1 egg
⅓ cup oil
1 Tsp vanilla essence
Oil or liner to grease the muffin tin (for oven). 

How to prepare?

Mix all purpose flour, baking soda, powdered sugar, and salt in a bowl. Stir well.
Mash the bananas and add egg, oil, and vanilla essence to it. Mix it well
Now, add the all purpose flour mixture to it and fold well.
Using the oil or liner, grease the muffin tin.
Fill ¾ of the muffin tin with the batter.
Bake in an oven at 175 degree celsius for 25-30 minutes.
Take out the mould from oven.
Your banana muffins are ready to be served or to be stored.

5. Cookies

Cookies are one of the most loved items of snacks and contrary to what you might have heard, they are not so tough to cook. Yes, cook! Not bake! These cookies can be prepared on a pan.

Ingredients:

250 gm butter
½ cup sugar
2 cup wheat flour

How to prepare?

Put the butter in a bowl and whisk it until it is smooth.
Now, add sugar to it and whisk again. You can use brown sugar if you so prefer.
Mixing it thoroughly makes the cookies turn out softer.
Now, start adding wheat flour little by little and mix it well.
Take out the flour scoop by scoop and make small balls from it.
Flatten the balls.
Now, heat a tawa for 5 minutes and place another frying pan over it.
Put the butter paper over the frying pan and place the flattened dough balls on it.
Cook for upto 15 minutes on low flame. 
Once the cookies have cooled down, remove the butter paper.
Enjoy your cookies right away or store for later use.
