From Disney to Daaku - The journey of Vikrant Massey

Who ever knew that a boy who used to clean tables at a Versova Café would become the most wanted actor of the time. Yes, we’re talking about Vikrant Massey, who started off as an artist for a catalog shoot in school. He was paid Rs.200 for that shoot back then. For 14 years after that, Vikrant has struggled to reach the place he’s at today. Let’s learn more about his journey here:

Vikrant was in grade 10 when he later started working as a salaried employee at Shiamak Davar’s institute. He was the one who used to teach the contemporary dance troupes at Shiamak’s for 2 years.

Though he was working as a dance trainer for a couple of years, he always wanted to be an actor. To accumulate some extra money, he also applied for a flight purser’s role.

After looking for a role continuously and giving numerous auditions, Vikrant finally landed with a role on the silver screen. His first ever project was Dharam Veer that began in 2008.

Soon after that, looking at his acting skills and his dedication, he was offered several roles like Balika Vadhu (2009), Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo (2010), V The Serial (2012) and Qubool Hai (2013).

He was also seen in shows like Baba Aiso Varr Dhoondo on NDTV Imagine. He also bagged the lead role in Disney Channel’s Dhoom Machaao Dhoom and Star Plus‘s Kahaan Hoon Main. Only after all these years, he got an opportunity to work in films finally.

Lootera was the 1st film he worked in to start with alongside Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha. Post that, he worked in films like Dil Dhadakne Do. Later, he was offered various ads. The ads that he’s been a part of are Zatak Deo, Cadbury, FINOLEX LED, Nescafe, Khazana Jewels, Samsung Galaxy, Cornetto, and Idea 4G, Nescafe, etc.
