Dalgona Coffee: The newest rage among the home chefs

What exactly is Dalgona Coffee? Well, according to Wikipedia, it is just a beverage that is made by whipping equal proportions of instant coffee, sugar, and hot water until it becomes creamy and then adding it to cold or hot milk. But like it has with other things in the past, the internet has blown it up to unfathomable proportions and made it viral. We’re not sure if calling it viral is even correct considering everything that is going on now-a-days, so instead, let’s just call it “too appealing”. Dalgona coffee has become so appealing that it has started inspiring Dalgona variations of other beverages. Naturally, our celebs have also gotten onboard the Dalgona coffee train and tried to create one from the comfort of their homes. Before we look at which celebs have tried their hands at brewing this latest internet fad, let’s take a look at how this trend came to be and what goes into making it?

The Dalgona Coffee which has now taken over the globe is an Asian creation, it is South Korean to be precise. South Korea has a very strong coffee culture and not being able to get their brewed goodness from coffee shops every morning due to the lockdown, South Koreans decided to take matters into their own hands and came up with this creation. And it took no time in taking over the world considering many other nations were also finding themselves in similar situations.

If by some miracle you still haven’t come across the recipe for making Dalgona Coffee, let us do the honour of introducing you to it.

What ingredients do I need?
