Abraham Benjamin de Villiers, the South African champ whose game has wowed his fans not only in South Africa but around the world. He is especially known for tearing apart the bowling from the best of the bowlers. He is also recognized as one of the best batsmen in the world and the best fielders of all time too. 1. South Africa vs England

During the World Cup of 2014, AB, with his partner managed to score 90 runs in 10.5 overs. This event itself got him on No.3. He crashed all the balls that came to him, hitting several boundaries and scoring about 69 runs and became one of the fastest players to hit 50 runs. He ended the match-winning performance against England with 3 runs, scoring a total of 169 runs.

2. South Africa vs West Indies

AB’s 1st ever wicket was of Darren Powell (West Indies), the fast bowler of the team then. He gained a lot of acclaim for this splendid wicket that he managed to gain that set up a slight crash and the match ended with SA winning it.

3. South Africa vs India

In the 1st innings itself of the 2008 match held at Ahmedabad, De Villiers scored a whopping 217 runs. With his score alone, team South Africa reached a different peak and won the match without even going ahead with the 2nd innings.

4. South Africa vs Australia

The most memorable match of 2008 against Australia is a very special one for the Proteas since it got them to win only after AB stepped in and scored 106 runs to win that match. The target score of that match was 414 runs.

5. South Africa vs Pakistan

In the 2005 World Cup, both AB and JP Duminy stepped up to take the wicket of Younis Khan, the most renowned player of the Pakistani team. It was during that time when Rilee Rossouw got a catch during AB’s bowling when Younis only managed to score 37 runs.
