Amit Trivedi is a man of many talents- he is a music composer, singer and songwriter. During his college days, he was part of a band called Om. Before becoming a prolific music composer of Bollywood, Amit Trivedi gave music for theatre, background music for TV shows, dandiya shows and even composed jingles for brands like McDonald’s and Airtel. His tryst with Bollywood began when his friend Shilpa Rao introduced him to Anurag Kashyap. He then composed music for Kashyap’s Dev.D (2009) and his success train has not slowed down since. Amit Trivedi then went on to compose music for many other films such as Aisha (2010), Chillar Party (2011), English Vinglish (2012), Kai Po Che! (2013), Udta Punjab (2016), Kedarnath (2018) and many more. Along with music compositions, he also lent his voice to many of the popular Bollywood songs. Not only in Bollywood, but Amit Trivedi has gained fame as a successful music composer in the South Indian cinema industry as well.

Who would have thought of an EDM inspired Bollywood song? But Amaal Mallik made it possible with Sooraj Dooba Hai from Roy (2015). A music director, composer, singer, performer and lyricist- he can be rightly termed as a powerhouse of talent. Unknown to many, Amaal Mallik comes from a family of musicians. His grandfather Sardar Malik was a film music director and score composer and so is his father Daboo Malik. Amaal Mallik is carrying forward the legacy of his family with soulful and beautiful compositions. He started learning music at the age of 8 and started his career at an early age as well. Amaal Mallik continues to skyrocket to fame since his debut as a music composer for the Bollywood film Jai Ho (2014). He has composed music for films such as Hate story 3 (2015), Airlift (2016), Kapoor & Sons (2016), M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016), Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017), De De Pyaar De (2019), Kabir Singh (2019) and many more. Amaal Mallik recently released his single as a singer titled Tu Mera Nahi (2020) in collaboration with Sony Music India and we can’t wait to see the magic he has created in the underway Bollywood film Saina.

Daughter of a famous poet and filmmaker, Alokananda Dasgupta has proved her mettle in song composition in a short period. She started her career as a music composer with the Marathi drama film Shala (2011). From there on, there was no looking back and she has given a background score in films such as B.A. Pass (2013), Fandry (2013), Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa (2013), Asha Jaoar Majhe (2014) and Trapped (2017). Not only films, Alokananda Dasgupta’s phenomenal background score work extends to web series as well. She has given music score to web series like Breathe (Season 1), Sacred Games (Season 1 & 2) and Leila. Before becoming one of the promising new music composers in Bollywood, Alokananda Dasgupta assisted Amit Trivedi in films like Udaan (2010), Aisha (2010), No One Killed Jessica (2011) and Chillar Party (2011).

Anupam Roy is a Kolkata-born playback singer, lyricist and composer. He is well-known in Kolkata and has released multiple solo albums besides scoring some phenomenal Bengali films. Anupam Roy also composed jingles for various brands such as Hero MotoCorp, Pantaloons Fashion & Retail, Bharti Airtel and many more. With Bengali-music running through his veins, he made a smooth transition to Bollywood as well. Anupam Roy made his Bollywood debut with music composition and background score for the film Piku (2015).

The dynamic duo Sachin-Jigar are a force to be reckoned with. Before making their independent stand in Bollywood as music composers, the duo worked as assistant directors to Pritam Chakraborty. Along with Bollywood films, Sachin-Jigar together create music compositions for Gujarati films. They made their debut in Bollywood with the Bollywood film F.A.L.T.U (2011) and over the years, have composed music for many films such as Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya (2012), OMG - Oh my God! (2012), ABCD: Any Body Can Dance (2013), Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014), Badlapur( 2015), Stree (2018) and many more. Their songs Saibo from ‘Shor In The City’, Jeena Jeena from ‘Badlapur’ and Bandook Meri Laila from ‘A Gentleman’ are memorable even today. Sachin-Jigar’s musical contribution in Coke Studio India is highly appreciated by the audience.
