Actors who’ve portrayed the most dangerous man on earth

It’s indeed tough to portray a real-life character on-screen. Especially when he is the most dangerous man on earth! Yes, you guessed it right! Osama bin Laden has been portrayed on-screen by many actors in different movie industries. The actors may appear similar in their overall look as Laden; but they’ve all showcased his story in different situations. Here are some actors who have played the most wanted man on the big screen. 

1. Pradhuman Singh

Tere Bin Laden and its sequel Tere Bin Laden: Dead or Alive were released in 2010 and 2016, respectively. Pradhuman Singh plays Laden’s doppelganger in both the films. The movies are a spoof on the hunt of the most wanted man on earth. It’s hilarious to watch Laden in this funny avatar, but we all know that it’s far from reality. The makers let their imagination run wild with the terrorist’s portrayal in this satire.

2. Ricky Sekhon

Ricky Sekhon looks convincing in his portrayal of the most wanted terrorist in Zero Dark Thirty. He is shown in hiding in Abbottabad with his family members. The 2012 docudrama chronicles the decade-long search operation for Osama bin Laden. It shows how the CIA successfully raided Laden’s hideout and killed him. The dramatised version of the international manhunt gives an insight into Laden’s final journey.

3. Naren Weiss

Naren Weiss, an Indian-American actor, plays Osama bin Laden in a brief scene in Vishwaroopam. He’s sitting in a cave addressing Al-Qaeda leaders, possibly conspiring for an attack. The cave was indeed Laden’s workplace – in the middle of terrorist camps, surrounded by dangerous people and weapons! Written, directed and co-produced by Kamal Haasan, Vishwaroopam is an action thriller released in 2013. It highlights the role of Indian security services in the war against terrorism.

4. Yon Kempton

Yon Kempton plays the Al-Qaeda chief in Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden. It is a 2012 television film based on the raid of Laden’s compound which led to his death. It depicts the behind-the-scenes stories of how the CIA prepared the US Navy SEALs for this mission. The film gives a riveting account of Laden’s assassination on May 2, 2011.

5. Praneet Bhat

Popular TV actor Praneet Bhat debuted in Marathi cinema with the comedy film Laden Aala Re Aala. His portrayal of the most wanted man is apt and has been widely appreciated. The 2017 release has several scenes that leave the audiences in splits. It’s a fictional story wherein Laden chooses to hide in Chikhalwadi village in Maharashtra. His arrival gives the villagers a chance to earn a hefty sum of money – over 5,000 crore!
