The ace of Indian Tennis: Rohan Bopanna

Like our other champs Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi, Rohan Bopanna too is a recognized Grand Slam player who has been doing excellently with his game, making our country proud. Rohan has been a constant undefeated super champ who loves playing Tennis and enjoys his game. Let's look at his Tennis story here:
 

Bopanna was only 11 when he started playing Tennis. He was equally inclined towards Football and Hockey. Stefan Edberg was his biggest inspiration after which he started dreaming to win Wimbledon someday.

After becoming a professional Tennis player, Rohan has played along with many Indian players. His favourite companions are Mahesh Bhupati and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi.

Rohan believes that partnering with Bhupati was his best decision. He gained a lot of fame after his partnership with Bhupati during ATP tour-level events.

Post that during the 2012 Olympics, Bopanna refused to partner Leander Paes and asked to play with Bhupathi since he was comfortable playing with Mahesh more than anyone else.

In 2017, Bopanna gained a lot of acclaim for his first Grand Slam title win at the French Open. Bopanna along with Gabriela Dabrowski of Canada, won against Anna-Lena Gronefeld and Robert Farah in the final at Roland Garros.

He has some crazy Tennis skills and tricks that make him an ace. His service being the strongest, makes him win the maximum number of points right at the beginning. He is comfortable defending from the back of the court but prefers to plant himself at the net and volley as he’s good with placements.

Rohan is also empowered with one-handed backhand skills with which he can hit both flat and with topspin without hesitation. He’s been playing several matches at various Grand Slams since 2008, winning and making the country proud.
