Cat Pose Or Marjaryasana

How to do it:-

  • Balance your body on your hands and knees, with your wrists aligned with shoulders and knees aligned with the hips. Keep knees hip-width apart and centre your head in a neutral position and soften your gaze downward.
  • As you exhale, move your spine toward the ceiling, making an arch-like shape with your upper body. As you do this, avoid touching your chin to the chest.
  • Inhale, coming back to the starting position on your hands and knees.
  • Repeat 5-20 times, and then rest by sitting back on your heels with your torso upright.

Child’s Pose Or Balasana

How to do it:-

  • Kneel on your yoga mat with your legs together.
  • Sit back on your heels.
  • Bend forward towards the ground with your chest touching your thighs and forehead touching the ground.
  • Let your hands rest on the side.

How to do it:-

  • Lie down on your stomach.
  • Place your hands near your shoulders.
  • Now, slowly inhale and lift your chest from the floor with your hands placed in the same position.

Standing Forward Bend Or Uttanasana

How to do it:-

  • Stand straight with your legs placed close to each other.
  • Slowly exhale, bend your body forward and try to try to touch your fingers on the floor. 
  • Press your head against your legs, if possible. If you find it difficult, stretch as much as your body allows, without bending your knees.
  • Hold for 4 to 8 breaths and come back to the normal standing position.

Have A Spa Day At Home

One of the most fun activities to do in lockdown for relaxation is to have a spa day at home! To have a spa day at home, firstly create a spa-like environment. Light some scented candles, play some soft, relaxing music and lie on your back and relax. Try some at-home beauty treatments that make you feel relaxed and rejuvenated. You can also dip your legs in lukewarm water with salt to relax the muscles of your legs.
