Ingredients:

  • Chicken - 500 gms, boneless
  • Refined Oil - 1 cup
  • Water - As required
  • Turmeric - ½ tsp
  • Coriander Leaves - 1 handful, finely chopped

For Marination:-

  • Onion - 2
  • Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp
  • Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
  • Green Chilli - 6
  • Ginger Paste - 1 tsp
  • Salt - As required

For The Main Dish:-

  • Gram Flour / Besan - 1½ cup
  • Rice Flour - 4 tsp

Instructions:

  1. To make this Chicken Pakora recipe, firstly, wash the chicken and drain the excess water. Make a paste of the onions, green chillies, ginger and garlic, lemon juice and salt. Marinate the chicken chunks with this paste. Leave it to marinate for about 40 minutes.
  2. Next, prepare the batter for the chicken. Mix together the besan, rice flour, salt, turmeric powder and water. Make sure the consistency of the batter is not too runny.
  3. Now, take a pan and heat oil in it. Dip the marinated chicken pieces in the thick batter and put them in the oil. Deep fry the pieces until they are golden brown. Make sure to put the chicken pieces in batches.

Bread Pakora is an all-time favourite snack loved by kids and adults alike! Hailing from North India, this is one of the most flavourful pakora recipes paired best with a cup of tea. Try this Indian pakora recipe at home by following the recipe given below-


Ingredients:

  • Bread Slices - 8
  • Refined Oil - 2 cups
  • Thymol Seeds / Ajwain - 1 tsp
  • Water - 4 cups
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
  • Asafoetida / Hing - 2 pinches

For Filling:-

  • Potato - 6
  • Salt - As required
  • Coriander Leaves - 5 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder - 3 tsp
  • Green Chilli - 3
  • Dry Mango Powder / Amchur - 1½ tsp

For The Main Dish:-

  • Gram Flour / Besan - 3 cups
  • Green Chutney - 1 cup

Instructions:

  1. To make this Bread Pakora recipe at home, wash the potatoes, put them in a pressure cooker and add water to it. Boil the potatoes for 3 to 4 whistles and mash them when they are warm. Add chopped coriander leaves, green chillies, 1 teaspoon red chilli powder, dry mango powder (amchur) and salt to it. Mix them well.
  2. Now, take a large bowl and add besan, ajwain, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, asafoetida and salt. Add a little water to make a smooth batter with optimal consistency. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste and add a few drops of oil to it. Set it aside.
  3. Next, assemble the bread pakora by slicing the bread into triangular slices. Apply green chutney made of mint or coriander on one side of triangular bread and apply mashed potato mixture evenly on the bread. Cover this slice with another triangular slice. Next, dip the bread into the batter.
  4. In a kadhai, heat some oil over medium flame. Once the oil is hot enough, add the bread slices to it from the sides. Deep fry these dipped bread slices in hot oil on medium flame till crisp and golden brown.

Ingredients:

  • Potato - 3, medium
  • Water - 200 ml
  • Carom Seeds - ½ tsp
  • Salt - As required
  • Gram Flour / Besan - 100 gms
  • Cumin Seeds - ½ tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  • Refined Oil - As required

Instructions:

  1. To make Aloo Pakora, firstly, wash the potatoes and cut them into thin round slices.
  2. Add gram flour to a bowl and slowly add water to make a smooth paste. The batter should neither be too thick nor too thin.
  3. Now, add cumin seeds, carom seeds, red chilli powder and salt and mix it well. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste. Next, add the potato slices to this batter and coat them well.
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan. When the oil is hot enough, dunk the slices one by one and as soon as the potato slices turn golden yellow in colour from both sides, take them out and place them on a plate with tissues (to absorb excess oil). While you are frying the pakoras, the flame should be low-medium so that the potatoes get cooked properly.

Ingredients:

  • Spinach - ½ bunch
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  • Ginger - ½ tsp, finely chopped
  • Salt - As required
  • Rice Flour - 1 tbsp
  • Gram Flour / Besan - 1 cup
  • Thymol Seeds / Ajwain - ½ tsp
  • Onion - ½, chopped
  • Refined Oil - 1½ cup

Instructions:

  1. To make this desi pakora recipe, Palak Pakoda, wash and clean the spinach leaves under cold running water and keep them aside. Once the water has drained out completely, chop the leaves.
  2. Next, add all the ingredients in a glass bowl except oil and mix well. Sprinkle very little water, only if needed and form a thick batter.

  • Gram flour / Besan - 1½ cup
  • Turmeric Powder - ½ tsp
  • Garlic Paste - ½ tsp
  • Thymol Seeds - ½ tsp
  • Paneer - 200 gms
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
  • Carom Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Salt - As required
  • Ginger Paste - ½ tsp
  • Green Chilli - 1
  • Refined Oil - 1 cup

Instructions:

  1. To make this Paneer Pakora recipe at home, cut paneer slices in the shape of your choice. Sieve the gram flour with salt, red chilli powder and add some water to make a thick batter.
