Shilpa Shetty’s superfit routine

Ageing is a process that cannot be stopped or interfered with. However, Bollywood’s divas seem to have mastered the art of staying consistent with their gorgeous looks and give us major fitness goals. One such diva, Shilpa Shetty, has maintained her gorgeousness and in fact seems to grow fitter by the day. Let’s take a sneak peek into her lifestyle to know how does she achieve this remarkable feat.

1. The perfect start:
The beauty starts her day with a glass and half of lukewarm water followed by gargling with coconut oil. Her breakfast alternates between sliced fruits, almond milk, muesli and smoothies.

2. The right plan:
The actress’ weekly workout regime includes strength-training exercises on two days, one day for cardio workouts, and Pranayam/Yoga twice a week

3. Yoga:
She first started practicing yoga on the suggestion of her physiotherapist who prescribed it as treatment for cervical spondylitis. Since then, there was no turning back as the actress adopted Yoga as a crucial part of her lifestyle and went on to educate India about it through a series of CDs covering various asanas. Shilpa Shetty also meditates 10 minutes a day to relieve stress.

4. Nutritional Support:
Her diet is designed to give a total of 1800 calories per day while not missing out on snacking between meals which, by the way are made in Olive oil. This also includes a mix of juices, porridge, dry fruits like raisins, vegetables, soups, salads and of course, chicken. She advises drinking 10 glasses of water each day and also recommends eating some processed foods including flax meal, mustard, raw nut butter, and almond milk. 5. Core-strengthening exercises:
Shilpa Shetty regularly engages in exercises that build a strong torso and core as it is the most crucial part of the body and also helps in keeping lifestyle disorders at bay. Examples of such exercises are: planks, sit ups, knee push-ups and worm walk among others.

6. Skin-care
Interestingly, Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s skin care solutions do not include any soap. Instead, she applies a mix of pure coconut oil with olive oil/Johnsons baby oil, over the skin and wipes it off with cotton wool. She also recommends a minimum of 8 hours of sleep.

7. Natural alternatives:
Not many know that the diva has her own farm where she grows a variety of vegetables and fruits. Her Instagram has instances where she is seen picking up aamla, cherries and a lot more. What’s healthier than this?!
