1. Born on 17th March, 1990 to a Jat Hindu family in Haryana, Saina Nehwal is a famous Indian Badminton player and a role model for all of us.

2. Saina took her Badminton training at the Pullela Gopichand badminton academy in Hyderabad. Pullela Gopichand polished her sports skills, making her a better player of all.

3. She became so successful that she is the only female player to achieve 1st rank in Badminton from India and overall the second Indian player after Prakash Padukone in the country to do so.

4. Even though she didn’t win a lot of matches till 2008, Saina managed to win millions of hearts in the country. She had also lost matches like the 2006 BWF World Junior Championships, where she lost against a top seed of the field ’Wang Yihan’

5. Representing India in the Olympics, she is the only Indian to have won medals in nearly every sports competition like BWF major individual event, a bronze in Olympics, the BWF World Championships, and the BWF World Junior Championships, and many more.
