Where were Indian Television’s vamps before their iconic roles

Talking about the Indian Television shows, it is incomplete without a negative character that ruins the love chemistry between the happy couple. Negative roles play a significant part in our daily show’s masala without which the show seems incomplete. The audience desperately wait for that little negative twist in the story each time we talk about serials. Here’s a list of characters that these famous vamps portrayed before they became entertainment vamps of the Indian television.

1. Naagin ‘Shesha’(Naagin 2)
Naagin is the show that made Adaa Khan what she is today, in terms of fame. But even before taking up ‘Shesha’ Naagin character, she was famously known for her roles in shows like Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Piya Basanti Re, Behenein and Amrit Manthan.

2. Shagun (Ye Hai Mohobattein)
Shagun may be the ‘villian’ who stands in the way of the leading couple’s love story in Ye Hai Mohobattein, but she is a lot more than a traditional vamp. Before taking up Shagun’s role, she became famous for her characters in shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kayamath and Kkavyanjali and reality shows like Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 1, Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo and recently in Jhalak Dikhla Ja and Bigg Boss 10.

3. Maya (Beyhadh)
Maya from Beyhadh has broken all the stereotypes of Indian television with her hairdos and her dressing sense on the show. But she is more loved on the Television for her famous character in shows like Star One’s Dill Mill Gayye and other shows of Kahin Toh Hoga, Kasautii Zindagii Kay. Jennifer Winget is more widely known as a reality show champion as she’s been performing really well in Comedy Circus 3 and Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala.

5. Ramola Sikand (Kahiin Kisi Roz)
Ramola in Kahiin Kisi Roz is our most favourite Hitlers on Television. She is remembered for her iconic bindis, beautiful banarasi sarees and her glam makeup. Even before becoming Ramola, she’d aced excellent roles in shows like Hum Paanch and Chashme Badoor on Zee Tv and Saahil and Aprijitha On DD National.

6. Komolika (Kasauti Zindagi Ki)
And finally, how can the list of vamps of the Indian television get over without Komalika? Her iconic role in Kasautii gave her popularity and made her our most favourite. She’s also been a part of the famous Tv soaps of Dekh Bhai Dekh and Shaktimaan long before she was seen as Komolika.
