gmail

An injury can either break an athlete’s career entirely or inspire them enough to rebuild it. Although most players end their career suffering through an injury, some athletes are born fighters. They are players who go down as legends. Let’s take a look at some of these legendary athletes who came back from a career-ending injury.

1. Leander Paes
Many know Leander Paes as the famous Indian professional tennis player, who has won a plenty of trophies and titles. What many people don’t know is that Leander was diagnosed with neurocysticercosis – a parasitic brain infection in 2003. Soon after that, Leander made a comeback alongside Mahesh Bhupathi in the 2004 Athens Olympics. As of today, Leander Paes has the most number of Grand Slams by any Indian.
