Bollywood’s Funniest Moms

All mothers are a little funny and emotional too when it comes to Bollywood drama films. They’ve made us laugh and cry and love them to bits each time we watch a Bollywood film. They’re known for adding some extra motherly wit in the funniest way possible, tickling our funny bones. Here is the list of our favourite and the most funny Bollywood moms. Have a look-

1. Farida Jalal in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham
From playing the role of a sister to a second lead, the role that created buzz for her was her Daadi role in KKHH. She has been an incredible and strong character throughout the film and remains on top in our list of the most funny moms. So the award for the best mother and granny of Bollywood goes to Farida Jalal in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

2. Kirron Kher in Dostana and Om Shanti Om
Talk about Punjabi mothers and the 1st person that comes to our mind is Kirron Kher. Wife of a super talented actor, she brings every character she plays to life. From Dostana to Om Shanti Om, she has made laugh with her wit.

3. Himani Shivpuri in Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon
The facial expressions, the smirk and most of all, the dialogue ‘Toh fir problem kya hai?’. How otherwise would we remember Kareena’s mom in the film. No one knows if her problems ever got solved, but this problem of her surely made us remember her after this movie.

4. Dimple Kapadia in Cocktail
We cannot image someone else taking over her role in this film. Who would call Boman Irani ‘Tinkuuuu’ the way she does? Nothing can beat the way she says ‘Gutluuu’, the way she pampers Daina and the way she judges Deepika for her dressing, ever!

5. Amrita Singh in 2 States
Amrita Singh, as a typical Punjabi mom in 2 States has the grace which befits any middle aged dramatic Indian mom. This is by far, one of the best ‘Mom characters’ played by her.

These Bollywood moms have made history in their own interesting way
and hence have made it to our list. Who is your favourite Bollywood
funny mom? Let us know in the comments below.

PS- Happy Mother’s Day!
