Bollywood’s father-kid jodis that we can’t get enough of

The year 2018 seems to be a special one for Sonam Kapoor. She has been in the limelight for her much-
talked about wedding and a high-spirited film about a wedding. And now, Sonam will be seen sharing
screen space with her evergreen dad Anil Kapoor in the movie Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga.
Bollywood actors seem to enjoy carrying over family ties into their professional space, and the Indian
audience loves watching the father-offspring drama on screen. This Father’s Day let’s
have a look at some hit father-kid jodis of Hindi cinema

1. Amitabh Bachchan – Abhishek Bachchan
The 75-year-young actor has been entertaining, educating and inspiring generations of movie-lovers. He may not have launched his son on the big screen, but when it comes to supporting him, he stands like a rock. Big B and Junior B have given many hits together such as Bunty aur Babli, Paa, Sarkar, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Sarkar Raj. They have also done cameos in each other’s movies like Shootout at Lokhandwala, Ek Ajnabee, Delhi – 6 and Bol Bachchan, to name a few.

2. Dharmendra – Sunny Deol – Bobby Deol
Beloved Dharam Paaji has been among the most handsome men of yesteryears. Not many people know that he holds a record of delivering the most number of hits in a career spanning over 50 years. We saw him act alongside his sons for the first time in Apne, a sports drama which finely showcased the emotional side of these strong-built men. The trio has been entertaining the viewers with the Yamla Pagla Deewana series, which will be releasing its third film this year.

3. Rishi Kapoor – Ranbir Kapoor
These two charming Kapoors have been displaying their inherent talent for acting and they’re raising the bar with every movie they do. They have a huge fan following and their presence in a movie is enough to draw the audiences to the theatres. However, the one film Besharam that they delivered together did not live up to expectations. The movie also had Ranbir’s mom Neetu Kapoor in it. Overall, it was quite a treat to watch the three Kapoors share screen space.

4. Pankaj Kapur – Shahid Kapoor – Sanah Kapoor
Be it theatre, television or films, Pankaj Kapur has displayed his acting prowess in all. He does both comedy and intense roles with ease. And so does his son, Shahid. Known for his great looks as well as excellent dancing and acting, Shahid’s career so far has been Shaandaar. Coincidentally, this is also the title of the movie in which he has acted with his father and half-sister Sanah Kapoor. The movie didn’t fare well, but the family indeed rocks!

5. Sunil Dutt – Sanjay Dutt
The life of Padma Shri Sunil Dutt has inspired many people who have been associated with him. His generosity earned him immense respect from all. The legendary actor and politician launched his son Sanjay’s career with Rocky in which he also made a guest appearance. This strong father-son duo has led quite an extra-ordinary life. They worked together in another movie Kshatriya where they did not appear in the same frame. The blockbuster movie where they shared screen space was Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., which also turned out to be Sunil’s last movie.
