5 Places Where No Cable TV Has Gone Before (But TATA Sky Reached)

On top of a mountain. In the middle of a jungle. Or at an army camp. No matter where you are, you have to know who wins the new season of Indian Idol. And when traditional cable providers can’t rise to the challenge? You call Tata Sky, of course!

1.Phugat Monastery, Jammu & Kashmir
Monks at this 2500-year-old monastery renounced all worldly pleasures to find inner peace. But there was one thing they couldn’t resist: the football league matches. And Tata Sky made sure they never missed a game.

2.Kupwara, Jammu & Kashmir
When you have to walk an hour and a half into a forest just to reach your house, it’s bad enough. At least, you should not be missing the latest adventures of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’s Ishita Iyer. Thanks to Tata Sky that never happened for this resident at Kupwara.

3. Fortis Hospital, Chandigarh
Don’t disturb patients, or annoy the medical professionals, or compromise hygiene – the rules laid out before installing 200 set top boxes at the hospital. Piece of cake when you’ve got pros handling this.

4. Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir
When the entire city is flooded in, you’d think DTH issues wouldn’t be top priority. Think again. Tata Sky service resumed the same evening after a customer raised an issue.

5. Army Camp, Khardung-La Pass
When you’ve spent the day guarding the country at a height of 17,500 feet, you need more than a cup of chai. We brought entertainment to our jawans at their camp. It’s the least we could do.
